Why we love and have partnered with "Her Best Foot Forward"

A random encounter between two women in a Tanzanian marketplace - one a humanitarian, one a Maasai beading Artisan - resulted in Her Best Foot Forward. We offer ethically made, handmade goods and use the proceeds to drive social change.

100% of sale proceeds support women & girls! In addition to providing women artisans with a fare wage, a safe workplace, and support for their families, through our non-profit foot forward fund we invest 100% of net proceeds in impactful activities to empower girls and women, including our own sanitary pad production and distribution program—uhurupads. Handmade in East Africa, these sandals are created using traditional Maasai beading and leather sourced from local farmers.

As for our talented women Artisans, they operate their beading workshop collaboratively and with transparency. Now known regionally for their excellence, they do not wait for us to sell their products but are paid (above local standards) by us for their work and are free to indivdually and collectively utilize proceeds as they see fit, all while creating their work within a safe, clean facility.
